Great hotel - pitty about some of the guests - beer can thrown into the pool, condoms with water thrown from balconies, toilet paper on our balcony and kids knocking on our door after 9 pm

Not a comfortable stay
Not good for family with young kids. Waiting time for check in is too long. Pay extra for parking is a downfall and parking is limited and tight as we have a big people mover. Lifts take forever to come and take too long to get to your room. Place is not worth the money per night.

Favourite since the 80’s
I have been staying at this property since the late 80’s (through 3 or 4 name changes) it has always been good. Staff are always lovely & helpful. I do think they need to remove carpet from the rooms which still have it, as it’s developing a musty smell. Other than that, this location is hard to beat for the price in surfers.

Great place to stay, great pool and location. Pity about the pool being shut in the morning and not being told that it was shut every weekday until 4pm. Otherwise a good stay, and value for money.

Didn't get to have a shower in the room due to a "plumbing issue" they said would be fixed at midnight? There was a level to use the shower but that didn't feel right & I find unless you get all necessary facilities in the room you paid for them why bother at all

We had a comfortable room with a lovely view of the ocean (level 29). The hotel is right in the centre of Surfers Paradise so everything is literally on your door stop. With that convenience comes the noise and hussle of being in right in it. Thankfully sound proofing doors means as soon as you close your verandah all of that is locked outside. The buffet breakfast was tasty with lots of options.
Parking was a nightmare. The car park is a public car park shared with the Paradise Centre and there is no designated hotel spots. Unfortunately we drove around for a very long time before we finally found a spot and then had a long walk to the hotel elevator. Modern day inconveniences. We had a pleasant single night stay and would have enjoyed a longer stay if we had the time.

One of the concierge guys was so unbelievably nice. When we were checking out and had our suitcases in the lobby he came over to us and asked if we needed the hotel to hold them for us before we left. Usually you have to approach them. We also had a nice interaction with him in the elevator. That was probably the highlight of our stay in the hotel.
