Great location, very small rooms
I've stayed here before -- you stay for the location! Rooms are VERY small. Bed was comfortable, but carpet was a bit worn out. Bathroom was so small you can't access the shower stall if the door is open.
Pros: Great location. Super walkable to the downtown core. The lobby sofas are a great location to sit by the fireplace and read a book or chat with friends outside the very small room.
Cons: They charge a $30 nightly "amenity fee" even though there is no gym, spa, or pool on site. (They say you can go to their sister properties to access the gym and spa... huh?). This is on top of the room rate.
We found the staff at the Gruet tasting room to be generally unfriendly, bordering on rude.
My room was on the street side and there was a LOT of street noise.
Overall: perfectly serviceable. I would stay here again, but will probably look for other options the next time I visit.
