Christchurch stay
We were in room 252 next to the stairs and lift. The room suffered from high noise levels when the lift or stairs were in use. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. However, there were no drawers to unpack our clothes into. The chairs in the room were uncomfortable to sit on. The breakfast was good.

We arrived in the late night after a 3 hour flight. There is no cold water from both basin tap and shower tap in the room arranged for us. The receptionist asked us to wait until next morning that they will have someone to check. I have asked a few times if we can change to another room but NO all the time. Until my daughter cried as her hand hurtted by the hot water then I turned angry to ask if not changing room we will just leave. That’s in the mid-night around 1am. Finally they move us to a room just next to the lift. There are fire doors next to the lift when all the residents access to their rooms we can hear hundreds times of noisy sounds when the door opens and closes. So don’t stay in room end with 53. Also the balcony of this room is facing the packing yard. When a bus coming and parking there, you may feel dizzy and thinking if it’s kind of earthquake. Beside these, I still rate them good if something can be improved.
