I booked this hotel over a few other local ones because it had slightly higher ratings. After staying there, I can't imagine why. The sign out front boasted "newly renovated rooms." My room must not have been included. The problem started with Expedia, who gave me a worse rate than I would have been able to get walking in the door. They also charged me extra for breakfast, which was included in a regular room rental. The room itself was quite shabby. Stained carpet, stained bed spread, and a bathroom in poor condition. The toilet rocked when sat on - not properly attached to the floor. The grout on the tile floor in the bathroom was mildewed and gross. Lots of "repairs" made in the bathroom look like they were done by a child. For the rate charged, this room was not even close to a good value.
The staff was friendly, but seemed disorganized. Every night when I returned, my key no longer worked, so I had to get it re-coded. One morning another guest walked into our room. The front desk had checked them into our room while we were there. I can't help but wonder if that had happened multiple times while we were gone, which would explain our keys not working each night.
Overall a very disappointing stay. Probably one of the worst chain hotels I have had the displeasure of staying at, especially given the price.
