8/10 Very good

Staff were lovely and helpful. We spent lots of time in the pool / steam room/ gym which were good and also not too busy like some spa hotels, plenty of space for everyone in there. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner so I can't comment on food. The only negative I have is that our rooms were a bit tired, the furniture was old and the rooms could do with a coat of paint. However everything was clean, the rooms were a nice size and I had a good night's sleep so it didn't spoil our experience and I will definitely come back.

Great late booking stay. Lovely hotel & grounds, did not use spa or gym facilities, so cannot comment. Room was nice , en suite bathroom could do with an update. Bar prices & food good.

The 2 bed lodge is perfect for families. We all had a great nights sleep and space. Pool is restricted for kids use (9:00-11:00 & 16:00-18:00). But they weren’t strict on this. Dinner & Breakfast the food options were good and delicious. Only negative is not enough staff at all for breakfast and untrained staff. Everyone couldn’t be more helpful though. We even had the local bee keeper give the kids some time and experience with the local bees.

This is a cosy little hotel. Staff are friendly and there is a personal touch. Swimming pool is lovely and well maintained The stand out for me though are the gardens. They are amazing

6/10 Good

Reception staff inattentive seemed most interested in selling upgrades and extras We had an upgraded garden view further upgraded to corner garden view which looked nothing like the photo- quite small with very cramped bathroom also dated Evening food menu was very limited notably lacking local food. Just ok if you want Indian food. However the breakfast was very good. The hotel should make more of the amazing extensive gardens

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, great spa area I'd say my only negative is the Sunday roast, felt like it was just plated up, potatoes very dry, and food wasn't hot enough But overall would recommend and would stay again

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing, so friendly, kind and and helpful. Breakfast was okay. Expensive for what you get and wasn’t the best I’ve had. Bar staff great. Sat outside as weather was gorgeous so can’t comment on the inside.

Our apartment room was one of the best rooms we have stayed. Easily 1500 square feet, and a terrific bathroom with large bath and shower. The staff in the bar area were all very young and inexperienced. They had to ask what makes up an Aperol Spritz and it looked like the bar tender had never opened a bottle of wine before: once he had eventually located thr requested bottle. But as they were very friendly, it really wasn't an issue for us. If you are looking for a larger room near Chester, you need to consider this hotel.
