Hotel in rural location next to ESSO service station on A41 Whitchurch road which can get busy at peak times of the day. Big car park area, reception staff very polite and helpful, room clean and tidy, comfy firm mattress. Also, rear outdoor seating area to eat/drink. Hotel has an Indian restaurant and food was excellent, some of the best I have ever had, would definately stay there again.

The room was clean and well presented, with everything you need. The building seemed to have a lot of stuff around it which made it a bit untidy looking, but it does the job for one night. We ate in the restaurant and it was really tasty. Staff were lovely all round.

Comfortable bed & an excellent shower. Staff were helpful. Parking was fine, although it was on a main road. Didn't have breakfast. Staff in the Indian restaurant in the evening were very attentive and helpful. Only con was really the cleanliness of the room. Superficially it seemed fine but the shower area needed cleaning around the hinge areas, (the actual showering area was fine) and the bedside table mats needed a good scrub or replacing - 2 things which wouldn't take long. However the carpet also needed attention,

My plans changed and I got to experience the Indian Cuisine. I can say it was the best curry I’d had in ages. I found the room perfectly adequate (once I’d located the light switch for the bathroom!) the door to the car park was novel and useful. Thank you for a comfortable stay and the excellent food!

Had a really good stay. The hotel was good value for money and everything was as expected. A few parts of the hotel look a bit tired, but nothing that bothered us at all. Overall, a good value for money stay. Slept very well in a very comfortable bed, duvet and room at the right temperature. Overall room was very clean although the carpet was rather grubby. What really let the stay down was a very small sink which is not really fit for purpose in a hotel room - only suitable for washing hands, completely impractical for washing the face etc.
