4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Kowloon

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Kowloon is from May to July, when hotel prices tend to be lower. This timeframe provides ample opportunity to appreciate the stunning skyscrapers, vibrant shopping districts, and captivating waterfront scenery, all while enjoying great value for money. Dining options abound, and the region’s rich culture can be experienced through various family-friendly activities. Plus, with prices possibly dropping during this period, you can enjoy your trip while staying on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For Kowloon travellers, Hotels.com offers DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute Deals sections where you may discover discounted hotel rates near your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. The Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay updated on availability and potential savings.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could potentially help you find a more economical option for your stay in a Kowloon hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Kowloon's excellent public transport links, you could find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations may provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
