Very nice person running both restaurants and hotel. Cosy room on the fourth floor up the stairs. I realised he works hard to maintain all the rooms without the elevators. The room looks lovely. Excellent Italian food in Paris.

Especially for a solo trip, very handy. Nothing special but it was clean enough and worked well for a couple of days. During the summer, the room was quite hot, there was no air-condition. Also no fridge. I didn't mind but it's notable, that there is no elevator so you need to climb quite a lot of stairs. The location was super good, I basically walked almost everywhere, and a few times took the metro which is really close.

This is a self-check in hotel, with a kiosk that dispenses your keys, which was ok but I think they could do with giving a map to guest so we can work out where the room was. As the door to the stairs that lead to our room had chamber 132 on door (no hint there that through that door and up the stairs is room 29). This is specially difficult when you have suitcase with you, having to drag it up and down stairs. The room was clean, bite of an odd lay out, the main door walk into the bathroom but it’s ok. Could have done with more pillows as they only provide one each and both normally a two or three pillow people. Last thing, we could have done with bigger towels and the towels provide would have struggled to wrap around a child waist.

Hidden Simple Find

Check in was very late and the attendant was very helpful. The area was beautiful clean and quaint. Only one thing that was pretty difficult, the hostel is within the building so it was very hard to find. You most go into “tipsy” bar to find the person to accommodate your stay.

The Most Unique Experience Ever.

Well, it was an experience all right. The place and location was very interesting and unique for being in the heart of Paris. Cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The shower had no place to put soap, towel racks or hooks to hang towels. The sink was too small and basically useless. No electric plugs where needed. The bed was very uncomfortable. I will say the place was unique and eventhough, very hard to maneuver luggage up and down the stairs, it did give us a special look into inner city life. An experience for sure, but some simple improvements could make a world of difference. More plugs in the right places, a new mirror, towel racks, soap dish in the shower and a larger sink in the bathroom. Very unique and special indeed.

Reasonably priced hotel. Room was small small but that’s typical for here I think. It was quite hard to find the door to the place as it’s tucked away between a restaurant. It was also very loud in our room until about 2am
