A warm welcome. The rooms (2) we visited were spacious and the beds were super comfortable for a great night's sleep. The hotel is close to the river which, at the time had a fast current. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked and wholesome.

I booked somewhere under a budget and was pleasantly surprised with how lovely the Inn was! The staff, location, food, atmosphere, room and shared facilities (as that was the room I booked) were top notch. Highly recommend!
Themed and fun decor. Clean, tidy, comfortable rooms. Nothing to complain about the food, or the friendly staff. Lovely location next to the canal.

We had no faults with this lovely place. Rooms were lovely and clean. Kettle for your tea and coffee. Plus a bonus of an ironing board if needed. From checking in to leaving it was perfect. Staff, food everything was great. We will certainly be going back.

Room was ok if a bit warm but the shared bathroom was very off putting. I knew it would be a shared bathroom but the reality was a very small pokey room that was a struggle to change in to have a shower etc.
Views out the bedroom window were fab and the food was good

This property was quiet but not isolated with a beautiful river view. Every inch of the property was clean and tidy. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Definitely, would recommend.

Beautiful position on the river with lovely outside seating area. Bedroom was gorgeous, lovely and clean and lots of extras included. Bed was comfortable with great bedding.
Staff could have been a bit more friendly especially on check in. Also very little choice for breakfast either cooked English or something on toast. Would have been nice to have some fruit and yogurt but it was presented well and tasty.

We arrived early and were able to park mid morning, you must leave your car details with the manager on arrival.
This is a great spot for local bus travel, just outside are the stops for the X39 bus which frequently runs between Bath and Bristol, around 30 minutes to each.
The Hotel is pleasantly situated on the Avon and the canal.
We found the room cold with no heat from the large radiator and rather airless with lots of condensation on the windows.
The food was acceptable but very basic.
They love dogs there and the staff were friendly.

Nice place , sadly the menu was limited , nothing healthy . Decided on chicken breast without the cheese bbq and bacon . It arrived within minutes of ordering. Clearly not freshly cooked , prob microwave . Was tasteless . Wifi was very intermittent in the bar and bedroom . Tv had no signal at all . Bed was ok and shower ok . Breakfast was nice and on time

Lovely property by the river. But the main bar area needs updating. No real lounge area to relax just tables and chairs. The layout of the room was very poor. Windows were not maintained. The radiator was not adjustable. The TV was on on an angled bracket so couldn't be viewed properly from the main bed. But lovely location.

WOW!!!! What a STUNNING location!!!! Right on the canal bank, waking up you look out of bedroom window & see a family of swans, ducks & even a herring standing dead still looking for his breakfast, delightful. A Lovley modern room, excellently decorated with a big bathroom with excellent shower. Even had a fridge with water in & even a pint of milk(how many hotels provide that) Breakfast Lovley but not enough for a growing lad that was my only disappointment but it’s a VERY MINOR fault. DEFINITELY be back as it’s just so LOVELY!!!!!!!! They serve evening meals & even a Carvery on Sunday but only up til around 4pm.

Booked due to it being “dog friendly hotel” but on arrival the staff were very put out we had a dog with us and said they’ve have to move our room as they only have one dog friendly room (not mentioned anywhere on the website or booking). Next morning staff were insistent we’d ordered a gluten free breakfast to the room despite this not being the case and were really put out when we pointed this out. Had to book breakfast the night before and the time you’re going for breakfast too. Staff serving it were annoyed we’d gone for breakfast late on and were tapping their foot and staring until we finished and left. TV didn’t work, no apology “yeah it’s never worked but you chose to be in the dog friendly room”. Wasn’t fixed. Very rude staff, very basic accommodation. Only plus points, it was a good location and the breakfast was edible.

Stayed here for one night in August. I had commented when making the booking then subsequently phoned to ask if I could check in late in the evening and nobody came back to me. It was only when checking in before the event we were going to that the woman checking me in said ‘oh we weren’t expecting you til 11!’ Frustrating lack of customer service.
The pub itself is nice. Zany style, some of it nautical some of it bright colours and fish wallpapers. Lots of false plants. The river location is beautiful. I would have thought a nautical blues/creams etc theme would be nice but to each their own.
The double room was on the ground floor. The external door was a pale blue and I had visions of calm colours and sea/river themes in our room. Instead we had fuschia pink and lime green with iridescent side tables and so many dehumidifiers it was as dry as a desert! Both my husband and I had a horrid nights sleep and both woke up with a sore throat and dry nose. Unnecessary especially as it was dry and in August!
The bathroom was nice and the large porthole style mirror and anchor hook were nice touches but didn’t go with the style in the room.
Nice that they supplied fresh milk for cups of tea/coffee and hot water bottles tho again not necessary being the middle of summer.
I also found for the price tag it would have been nice if they offered continental plus full English with a selection of pastries/yoghurts/cereals available too. Breakfast quality was good though.
