Really accessible and the hotel's team would go above and beyond. Room really comfortable, breakfast amazing and onsen awesome. This hotel has a very useful lauderamat washing machine service). The are 4 machines, need to plan when to use as they are often busy.

Excellent hotel: well-kept, clean, friendly staff. Quite a few restaurants around, and some convenience stores. Only thing I didn't like was the dryer is not very strong; clothes did not fully dry and we had to take clothes to nearby coin laundry to fully dry it. I would be happy to stay here again if I return to Kyoto.

Exactly what you’d expect.
This hotel is comfortable and nice. However, for those foreign tourists, be aware that in Kyoto you have to pay extra tax when arriving at your hotel, this isn’t clearly outlined by hotels.com which I think is extremely user unfriendly. Be aware, we had to move rooms due to a cockroach in our hotel room, but the staff were helpful and moved us to a bigger suite which was kind.

The hotel itself was very nice & spacious for a typical Japanese hotel. The staff were very courteous and helpful. This hotel is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the JR subway station so if you’re traveling to various site seeing areas, it’s easy to catch the subway or train. The only issue that we encounter were the beds. The beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed 4 nights at this hotel, and each morning, we woke up with a stiff neck and aching back. My next visit to Japan, I would choose a different hotel for this reason alone.
