Founded in 1607, this adobe wonderland sits at 7,000 feet, where the air is as rarefied as the art scene. The Plaza buzzes with activity as visitors duck into the Palace of the Governors where Native American artisans sell jewellery under the portal. At the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, her sensuous landscapes reveal why artists have been drawn here for centuries. Green chile smothers practically everything edible - try it at least once on enchiladas. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis offers cool sanctuary from summer heat. After gallery-hopping along Canyon Road, catch a performance at the Lensic or Santa Fe Opera, where the backdrop of sunset over distant mountains upstages even the most dramatic aria.

Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe
"I picked this particular hotel due to its 1 minute walking distance to the plaza and other places of interest. The staff and the room did not disappoint. The bed was wonderful and so comfy. There could be brighter lighting above the vanity and more transparency regarding the lack of an elevator to the second floor rooms."
Drury Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe
"Excellent property"
Inn and Spa at Loretto
"Nice hotel well located in Santa Fe. Our room had very loud a/c as did 2 others in our group. The valet was hit and miss as sometimes there was nobody around or they were understaffed. One person at the reception desk was nice when we checked in. However, another staff member was not willing to extend a late checkout from 11 AM to 12 noon. A bit disappointing. The pool area is very nice and we enjoyed hanging out in the lounge."
The Mystic Santa Fe
"Hip vibe. Friendly, welcoming staff. Terrific food at the restaurant on site. Parking is right outside your door. Quiet room. A/C worked well."
Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder
"This is a very nice property and clean. The biggest negative was only 1 elevator was working. The spa was amazing and very relaxing. Jordon was wonderful."
El Sendero Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"Staff was helpful and efficient Rooms are maintained however the curtains need replacing"
Coyote South
"Place was convenient , comfortable , plenty parking. The towels were a bit thin , and the waterpressure from the sink was minimal . There is a shuttle to the Plaza available ."
El Rey Court
"Clean rooms. Retro was nice."

"Rooms were very clean and the staff"

This duration allows for a rich exploration of Santa Fe's vibrant culture and heritage, all while providing great value for money.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For a chance to secure savings for your stay in Santa Fe, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates if you book close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you’re more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, use the Smart Shopping tool on the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re promptly informed when rooms become available or prices drop for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so remaining flexible with your dates may help you save on your Santa Fe hotel stay. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, on occasion, offer better value. When you make a booking with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be higher, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Santa Fe's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel a little further out that's still well connected. For those looking to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations may offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
