My favourite city in the world. Brunch at Fidel's or Floriditas, followed by browsing the galleries and quirky shops of Cuba St and a stroll around the waterfront. For bars, The Champagneria has a wonderful rooftop and Vinyl is always so much fun.

Waterfront and dockside is fun and vibrant with lots of restaurants and bars. Walking around is easy with lots of pedestrian cut throughs and stairs in between streets. Hilly terrain gives you a good workout! Ferries provide access to South Island.

Day time on-street parking is often restricted, in windy, hilly steets. My tip: park at Zealandia or Mount Victoria lookout and walk/bus. In two days we covered Botanic Gdns, cable car, Te Papa museum, Weta workshop and views from Mt Victoria.

Parliament tour was awesome. I personally felt Weta was way overpriced but i am not a LOTR fan! Wellington is a vibrant place to visit. The Fear Factory in Cuba mall was fun, and Karaka restaurant on the waterfront has beautiful food

Great city, though a bit windy. We got lucky with the weather for the most part. Lots of lovely walks to take and, of course, plenty of great pubs and restaurants. Waterfront is lovely and Te Papa is a must see. Lovely city!
