ONOMO Hotel Johannesburg Sandton
"Hospitable place"
NH Johannesburg Sandton Hotel
"Nice pool area for relaxation. Good restaurant for not going out. convenient shuttle service to Sandton City Mall, the best in Johannesburg."
Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank
"Lovely and stylish property. The staff preformed above our expectations and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay in Johannesburg. We look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel."
Holiday Inn Johannesburg - Rosebank by IHG
"Overall my stay at the Holiday Inn was great! The staff are super nice, and I found the check in/check out process smooth. The hotel location is super convenient to shopping and dining. I deducted a few stars because there were stains on my towel, and there were stains on the bathroom wall that was never cleaned during the entirety of my stay."
Davinci Hotel And Suites On Nelson Mandela Square
"Excellent customer service with convenient access to shopping facilities. Breakfast experience was good but could be exceptional with a few additional choices"
Radisson RED Hotel, Johannesburg Rosebank
"My husband and I stayed here for our last 2 nights in SA and it was the best place to stay after a long trip. The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly & helpful, our room was clean. The only downside was the restaurant downstairs the service was poor. But the hotel was amazing. We’ll definitely will stay here again next time we’re in JHB🇿🇦"
Sandton Sun & Towers
"Our room was large and contained a corner desk separated by decoratively lit wall. The room contained a luggage room. It was very convenient to access the suitcase and have it out of sight. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to accommodate us. The check-in lady was simply magical! Breakfast was filling and wonderful."
Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel
"Nice area"
Southern Sun Rosebank
"The hotel is compact without extensive grounds to walk around in. It is located near a mall complex but do take advantage of the hotel's shuttle service to go to and from it. Although the shopping center and hotel are in a relatively safe area, scammers and pick-pockets are known to prey on tourists. The Dining restaurant is excellent--the food preparation and presentation are elevated. The breakfast buffet is very good--more than adequate but not exceptional. The room I had was simple but met my needs."

- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Johannesburg is during January, June, and December when hotels may drop to lower prices, making it an attractive destination for those travelling on a budget. For a thorough exploration of key landmarks, history, and culture — including attractions such as architecture, museums, and theatre — a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This period offers great value for money, ensuring travellers experience a rich blend of historical and cultural sites while keeping expenses affordable.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For travellers heading to Johannesburg, Hotels.com offers DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute Deals sections where you may discover discounted hotel rates close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could receive updates on flash sales and special promotions. Furthermore, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app lets you compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see opportunities to secure a last-minute getaway when rooms become available or prices drop.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates might help you find a better deal on your stay in a Johannesburg hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more affordable option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Johannesburg's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
