Nice simple hotel in a nice quiet part of Singapore, but with bus and train connections nearby.
Convenience store right next door and an historical hawkers food market only 4 mims walk away with over 80 different stalls.
Marco and his team are friendly and polite, the facilities are well maintained and the for Singapore it's good value

Hotel 81 Osaka in Tiong Bahru
A very basic hotel in a charming older neighborhood. Closer to transportation and restaurants and cafes.
Don't miss a visit to the Monkey God Temple.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel location is convenient, easy access to MRT stations and buses. The bedding is really good quality however the hotel is outdated near refurbishment especial the toilet/shower room.

Faucet at the sink was leaking. Water pressure was very weak, water flow out of sink faucet so slow like dripping. Room has no refrigeraytor, room size so small.

Very helpful staff. Originally I booked for a queen size bed then I changed it to twin bed and he waived the extra fee. When I checked out James was very helpful and he even gave us tips on how to get to our next destination.

overall, a good value for the price. served the purpose of a clean bed and a shower for a reasonable price. room is clean and the staff friendly and accomodating. highly recommended for non fussy visitors who wants to stay on a budget. another plus is the proximity to public transportation and a convenience store within the building.

Decent Economical Hotel.
Overall very clean but the bathroom/shower area had a bit of mildew in the grout. Understandable considering the humidity in Singapore. No window which made it very hard to tell what time it was. The location was fantastic with it being very close to a hawker centre and next door to a Cheers convenience store.

The room was to be expected for the price. The bed was quite hard and I would run out of hot water in the shower. The room could use more cupboard storage space. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great with just a short walk to Outram Park MRT and quite a few food options very near by.

This was a last minute booking after Travel cancelled our reservation at the 11th hour.
The hotel was gerenally good but the was a few areas of cleaning that was needed like the window ledge was very dusty. Also the shower needs a proper cubicle so that the entire toilet area is not wet after someone has a shower.
The management and staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel is small, old and not too clean. You can hear noises from the alley and from the room next door. The front desks are friendly but don’t have good knowledge about their surroundings or about public transportation.

This is a no-frills hotel in a quiet suburban section of the city. The famous Tiong Bahru Market with the huge selection of eating vendors is just a 5 min walk. The area has become increasingly gentrified for the expatriate community. Besides local eateries there are quite a few cafes or bistros for this community. The premises is clean and relatively newly refurbished which is a plus point. However, there were no mini fridge or a closet like other Hotel 81, and the oft criticism of this chain hotel rooms being used by the hour for adult purposes was quite evident on this property. It is in at a dead-end street and is quiet and secluded.
