Learn more about Lakeland
Between lakes dotted with royal swans, Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural masterpieces at Florida Southern College create an unexpected cultural oasis. Baseball fans flock to Publix Field for spring training while art lovers discover treasures at the Polk Museum of Art. The historic Polk Theatre's marquee glows city centre near Lake Mirror's promenade, where locals gather for sunset strolls. Safari Wilderness offers close encounters with exotic animals roaming freely across expansive savannas. Circle B Bar Reserve provides trails through cypress wetlands where alligators sun themselves with prehistoric nonchalance. Downtown's revival brings craft breweries and farm-to-table restaurants where conversations inevitably turn to which lake offers the best sunset view.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lakeland
"Given the low price and age of this hotel, I was very impressed! Staff is very friendly and helpful and make a real effort to keep it as nice as possible. The pool area is extremely nice. It's quiet and I felt safe. I was very surprised, though. I had to provide a $100 CASH deposit at check-in. Nothing said about it prior. Surprise!"

"The room was clean. Parking was convenient and air conditioning worked well. Shower needs grab bars, definitely a risk for senior citizens."
Motel 6 Lakeland, FL
"No microwave"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeland East
"El staff fue muy amable. La habitación estaba bastante bien solo que se vieron 2 cucarachas muertas en el baño y el último día ví una cucaracha viva en el microondas. El hotel está en una buena ubicación te turnean los desayunos que eso está muy bien. Lo único que necesita es mejorar un poco más la limpieza y quizás fumigar más amenudo."
Baymont by Wyndham Lakeland
"The stay at Baymont was nice. The staff are all super helpful and wonderful. It was very quiet most of my stay. The only thing that I feel can be improved is the upkeep of the grounds (there is often trash in the bushes etc), and also I think some sort of security is needed as there are often homeless ppl around. I once came in a side door in the building and there was a homeless woman and her dog in the stairwell! I screamed, the dog barked, and she quickly left. Also access to the pool should be verified so that ppl who aren’t guests aren’t able to walk up and use it. But I def would stay again as the check in is easy and the staff are great (even the cleaning staff)."

Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're notified if availability increases or prices drop, so you can seize the opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Lakeland hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer greater value. If the price appears to be on the higher end, we will suggest more economical dates that might help you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Lakeland's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found.
