It is a good place, a bit isolated so you need to have a car. The floor boards creak so if you are downstairs you may hear the upstairs neighbours.

6/10 Good

We have stayed at the Boot many times pre-pandemic and everything was always excellent. However, on this occasion we were not told until after we booked that they were not doing lunch or evening meals…and we only got told at that point due to emailing to book a table! There were also renovations taking place which we were not told about in advance. We like the Boot and it normally makes a very convenient and lovely stop over on our way up North but it was very disappointing after a long drive to have to drive somewhere else for food and the lack of cooking facilities meant the breakfast was not to the same standard as we have experienced on all of our previous stays. Hopefully things will return to normal soon but it would have been helpful to have a heads up in advance of booking.

Arrived around 8pm after a day walking round Worcester on the Penguin trail and was shown straight to our room which was spotlessly clean. Having eaten earlier in the city we didn't try the evening menu but the breakfast the following morning was good ,all in all we would definitely rebook there the next time we're in that part of the country.

6/10 Good

Overall an okay stay. Staff very friendly and helpful even over being incorrectly charged at checkout. Rating could easily be bettered by improvements to presentation of breakfast. A breakfast menu would be useful. Toast served already buttered and piled up on a dinner plate is poor. A toast rack and butter portions would be much better. The coffee from the machine is not great. Freshly brewed filter coffee would be better. Breakfast in conservatory was more pleasant but not enhanced by view over unkempt outdoor area. Room okay apart from not being able to use wash hand basin without cracking head off glass shelf.

6/10 Good

Breakfast severely gone downhill since previous visits. Used to be a strength and now a weakness. Sausage appeared to be reheated several times and everything was cold. Didn’t realise there was cereal until we saw a random table with juice and boxes of rice crispies on. Staff were too busy chatting to show us! Coffee was horrible. Nice little pots of jam left at the end of our table which, again, I had no idea were there! Bedroom was a lovely size and a nice shower room. Lovely pub area. A few cobwebs about but this did not bother me in such an old building. Such a shame though about the awful breakfast experience.

A lovely pub, with very friendly staff. The room was a decent size and very comfortable. Great choice of meals and the breakfast was one of the tastiest I have had in a long time. Definitely recommended.

1 night stay
Stayed in room 5 absolutely loved the character of the room . The en-suite bathroom was fine albeit very cramped in the shower cubicle Breakfast was very strange - think we stayed when all the staff were off - other guests did comment on how good it had been the day before but we were a bit disappointed with cold offerings & very slow service however we would stay again if in the atea

Interesting mix!
Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking fine. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was a tad Fawlty Towers - coffee took 35mins, full English (but chef forgot the egg), soft boiled egg (but arrived hard minus an egg cup), butter arrived late, no toast offered. No menu so you had to ad lib. But tasty when it finally arrived after 30mins! However lunch was the complete opposite, fast service, generous portions and very well cooked/presented 10/10. Hence the use of the term 'mix'. But we would stay again no problem, but we would write down exactly what we want for breakfast in what order (to paraphrase Eric Morecombe - they have 'all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order' at breakfast.

4/10 Fair

Not welcoming on arrival, shown to our room and then promptly disappeared before we cou;d ask any questions about meals etc. Dinner was good Came down for breakfast, door to bar/restaurant was locked so had to go out of fire exit into car park. Nobody around in restaurant, no menus. Ordered full English breakfast, no mushrooms or tomato arrived although the next table had them. Overall a non-enjoyable and unwelcoming experience.
