Lovely guest house owned by a very helpful friendly couple. Right on high st so you can walk safely to several restaurants. The best bit is having your own front door, all bedrooms have outdoor access to rooms so you don’t feel like staying in someone’s home which I hate. Great breakfasts

Oudtshoorn Overnight

Our hosts Martha and Kristophe were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond in helping us secure a dinner reservation, making sure every element of our stay was the best it could be and even met us as we were loading up for our departure to provide traffic updates and suggesting an alternate route to save us from road works delays. The rooms are very comfortable, very clean, well amenities and remarkably quiet. The parking is secure and totally convenient. I cannot recommend 88 Baron von Reese Guesthouse highly enough.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that our last minute booking in Oudtshoorn was one of our best stays during our Christmas trip. The hosts were exceptional in their professionalism and personal attention to us. Breakfast was a relaxing affair with something for everyone and both a hot and cold breakfast available with the calm sounds of the birds and gentle music in the background. The accommodation is comfortable with the air conditioning being a welcome addition to each room.
