4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Puerto Vallarta

  1. A stay of at least 4 to 5 days is ideal for exploring key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, including beaches, sunsets, sea views, excursions, relaxing spots, art venues, entertainment, tours, dining, and dancing. This period offers great value for money, making it an excellent time to experience the rich history and vibrant culture of Puerto Vallarta on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers travellers the chance to explore DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute Deals for Puerto Vallarta, where discounted hotels may be available close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales or special promotions. The app's Smart Shopping feature allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you can swiftly spot opportunities to book a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Puerto Vallarta hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often offer a more personalised touch and may sometimes present better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average; if it appears higher, we might suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre typically command higher prices, but thanks to Puerto Vallarta's excellent public transportation links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel on the outskirts that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
