This is the second time we’ve stayed and both times have been really good. George is a lovely host, the food is superb and the accommodation of a high standard. There are nice touches such as fresh milk and home made flapjacks in the room.

Such a wonderful place to stay, George couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful, the room was gorgeous with a real cosy country feel to it. Everything has been thought of, down to a towel and bowls for our dog. Breakfast was amazing! And the bar in the evening for drinks was welcoming and relaxing

Fabulous place to stay. Accommodation was clean, comfortable, and cosy. Food was delicious and it’s good to know that it’s mostly locally grown and sourced, including the gin! Average stay, the building is nice location by the river bank and the staff are ok. Menu is pricey and not all that impressive too much faff not enough substance. Lovely looking hotel away from the hustle
We stopped at this hotel on the way down south and were very happy that we did. The room was well laid out, clean and we received plenty of help and communication from the staff. Breakfast was a highlight and now ranks amongst the top breakfast we've had on our travels with plenty of options complemented by some great tea and coffee. If you have time, you can enjoy a drink beside the river before you set off. We'll be back
