The hotel is well located and the staff welcoming. The hotel is traditional, and so some travelers might find the rooms small, but I appreciated and enjoyed the thoughtful touches that kept me comfortable: a small refrigerator, electric tea kettle, and an electric fan to keep the room comfortable in the warm summertime weatherp, wifi, tv. I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Alane again.

Hotel Alane was perfect for our needs - Gare de l'Est metro is just around the corner, and yet our room was peaceful at night as it overlooked a side street. We didn't use the air conditioning much, but it was handy to have it there to cool down the room for a few minutes. The staff on reception were really friendly and the housekeeping was excellent as we always returned to an immaculate room after a day's exploring.
