Adorable one of a kind stay

Fantastic little gem just off the beaten path. Close enough to downtown to Uber in for the sites but in a delightfully quiet little neighborhood. Free parking and the woman who runs the place is spectacular.

Wonderful Chicago experience

We had the pleasure of staying at the Wheeler Mansion for two nights. It was an awesome experience! Julia was the person to check us in and was very helpful to us arranging taxi service and answering questions. It was very clean,and quiet, the breakfast each morning was delicious, tea and coffee was always available to us. I highly recommend this B and B, and would certainly stay there again given the opportunity.

Luxury B&B without the luxury

The Wheeler Mansion is a handsome, carefully renovated lodging at premium rates. I paid $325 a night. The South Loop neighborhood is a chic spot convenient and trendy. The Wheeler staff, though, seems inexperienced and sometimes MIA. Breakfast service both days was unpolished, including bad coffee and cold food. No cable, climate control nonexistent and no interest in cleaning the bathroom, for which I was blamed. Free parking is a plus, but the grounds are uninteresting.
