Horrible, dirty not upkept rooms
The rooms are absolutely horrendous we felt we had walked into a nightmare, the roof was peeling the covers had rips, the bathroom in the bathroom was missing and left the exposed wall, the bathrooms are dirty, the rooms are tiny, the room was non refundable so we made the desision to stay, we asked for a room chnage but the other room was horrible too. The staff was really friendly and we had a great location, but the rooms need upkeep, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

More dated than expected
The stay here was quite disappointing. The Paramount looked like an amazing old school New York hotel from the pictures, but was way more dated than anticipated. At check in, we were initially given a key to a room that was occupied and had to wait for another room to be assigned. The staff was very courteous and gave us a discount for the inconvenience, so it was not a problem. The room we stayed in was a normal size for NYC; the bathroom was very small with a broken ceiling and with no additional products other than the hand soap, shampoo, and body wash attached to the walls (which I am convinced were all the same product). Towels and linens were mismatched and old. The major issue was the heat that was not working properly and had only cold air blowing from the very dated wall unit. The blankets on the beds were thin and there were no additional blankets available, so we all slept in several layers of clothing. Overall, this was definitely not worth the amount of money spent.

Time Square stay
The hotel’s location near Times Square is a major plus, making it an excellent choice for those wanting to be close to the action. However, the rooms are very dark and much smaller than expected. For our group of four, we opted for a quad room, which provided slightly more space than standard options but still felt cramped. The bathroom size is comparable to one on a cruise ship—extremely compact, allowing you to perform multiple tasks like brushing your teeth and showering simultaneously, which speaks to how small it truly is. On the bright side, the bed was comfortable. Although we had a thermostat the room stayed at 73 and it was warm. We had the air on set at 65 to cool the room down. Not unbearable just annoying. If location is your main priority and you don’t mind tight quarters, this hotel might work for you, but it may not suit those looking for a more spacious or luxurious stay.

I would stay again.
I would stay at this hotel again. From the employees at the front counter to the maintenance staff, they were very friendly and helpful. Very clean and organized. The design, decoration and atmosphere give you the vibe of its French origin. Beautiful and elegant. As for the price, after having done a lot of research in the area, it was the best and clearest in its category. That is, from the beginning they informed me what the total would be. No additional charges or surprise charges before, during or after check in or check out.

They let me check in early. Room was very small and outdated. Thermostat didn’t work. Room was very hot. They never sent anyone up to look at it. No electrical outlet near the desk. No nightstand or clock. At least it was cheap.

Front desk let us check in early. They were so friendly. Gave us great directions. When we were checking out, they asked if we wanted them to hold our luggage in case we wanted to do some sight seeing. Best location for shows. Will definitely stay again.

Superb location!
The location can’t be beaten!!! I hope they change the annoying loud and type of music. They play in the main lobby. Yes, rooms are small and the hotel is old, but the beds are extremely comfortable. I would stay again because of the location.
