The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, and the bed comfortable (although the mattress was almost too soft for my liking). You have a local subway/tram station right outside the hotel as well as several restaurant and grocery store options. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay here besides the cleaning staff throwing away(?) my contact case. The room was a good size and right in the heart of downtown. I wouldn't say it's quiet being right in front of the tram station but with the window shut it wasn't too bad at all. The brunch in the lobby was great with plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend to others

Great find
No complaints - easy check in, good communication (I messaged to say I was arriving early, they accommodated this and messaged back promptly) Great location downtown, walkable (about half an hour through centre) from the main train station. Loads of good bars and restaurant's. Check in was nice, greeted by a staff member who was generous with his time and happy to point out some interesting nearby places via an interactive map they have at reception. Inside is nice, cafe downstairs is friendly and have a nice selection. Room its self is simple but well presented, clean, everything you'd need really. I had a large room and I was on my own (price just made sense to do this) Cost factored in, I'd recommend this hotel and this area. Though I was here for work I'd have no quarrels having my family stay here. Seems tailored to suit that too.

Bad stay at Nunohotel
We stayed at NunoHotel during our trip to Cologne to watch the Euros. One night when we came back to our room one of the beds had for some reason been taken away. This caused us a real upset and the staff was not very cooperaritive in resolving the issue. In the end we had to make the bed ourselves as the staff required us to help them do their job. The hotel did not apologise for what happened at any point.

Very cute hotel, perfectly functional room
Fun and funky hotel, very friendly reception and breakfast staff. The room (medium) was on the small side for 2 but perfectly functional, and thankfully had a ceiling fan which was a saving grace for a warm night. The hotel is on a main street which was a bit noisy, but the window shut out most of the din (aided by the white noise of the fan). Elevator is small, 2 of us barely fit with bags. My only complaint was the price but it was a high demand weekend so all hotels had high rates. I would stay here again.

Service, room, and breakfast were very good. Ms. Gunther was fantastic and a valuable asset to the organization. My only complaint was the temperature in the rooms. There was no central air and i just assumed this when booking. Europe benefits a lot from U.S. tourists. They need to do something about this for higher temperatures.

The hotel entrance door is locked on Sunday evening and to open that you need a code which is given Sunday morning only and not before! Sweeping the floor and changing sheets are not included in room cleaning and it happens every 5 days of stay.

I got the wrong room and they could not do anything to give me my room. There was someone of the staff that was very rude to me and my friend (though there was also other nice staff). He stalked us in the basement, the door of my room has been unlocked. I felt very uncomfortable that night.

Room with a View in Cologne during Carnival.
Went for a weekend trip to Carnival. This hotel is close to Metro (Barbarossaplatz), and the route of the Carnival. Metro to Central Station was 9-10 minutes at the most, which is next to the Cologne Cathedral. The reception spoke English and were very friendly and accommodating at check-in. They asked if we needed any help or had any questions. Checking out was also quick and easy. They have a coffee shop with snacks/coffee/drinks (beer) available to purchase with cash or credit card. They have great tasting cappuccino.... The hotel had elevator and stairs. The room was clean and we were given a room with view to parade/street. It was good to have the room with a view. The hotel seemed packed with people, but they were active in maintaining their area clean. There was even security in the evening to ensure guests were ok when entering the hotel. The hotel area was safe for us during the day and late night. I would stay here again without thinking twice. There are little Kiosk stores, and bigger REWE stores (similar to grocery market) nearby to get food or drinks. There is even a pharmacy next door for any over the counter meds you may need, great for travelers who forget allergy pills. Shower had cool and hot water, with good pressure. The pillows and sheets were crisp/clean. Just note, eating in room is not recommended, they prefer that you use the lobby or cafe, understandable to maintain cleanliness.
