We received a warm welcome from staff when we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious with a kettle to make hot drinks, you can also get unlimited coffee, tea, sugar and milk in reception which is useful. There was a large selection to choose from for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was all nice and warm. Parking is free but make sure you enter your car reg on the iPad in reception. This is our second visit to this hotel and we will visit again as it’s in a good location.

We stayed at the holiday inn for an overnight visit to york.. the staff were welcoming & friendly. We had booked a walk-in shower room as i am a mobility scooter user. When we got to the room it was smaller than what we had booked.. the staff apologised & very quickly sorted out a more accessible room it was well maintained.. We didnt eat in the hotel in the evening but had booked breakfast for the following day.. the food was plentiful. Well presented & hot there was also a very good choice..we were parked around the side/back of the hotel it wasn't an issue as there is access into the hotel from thethis was our 1st time staying in an IHG holiday Inn & it won't be our last.. thank you Tadcaster Road York

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the breakfast is excellent. The only minor downside is that the hotel is a little far from the city centre. However, this wasn’t a major issue because there is a bus stop nearby, making it easy to get around. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

A good stay in a hotel that is well positioned for a visit to York, located adjacent to the horse racing course. Excellent, well-cooked breakfast. Downsides of the stay were a top floor room that was inordinately hot and the air-conditioning couldn't cope with reducing the temperature, plus the greeting at check-in was rather indifferent and lacked any sincere welcome.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good with good parking. Rooms are clean and well equiped. Step up into walking shower - much better than shower/bath combination. Rooms are a good size although they need a refresh and maintenance. Rooms doors locks look like theyve recently been changed - doors need repainting - not a goid first impression. Apart from maintenance thiss is a warm and friendly hotel.
