Lovely place and great interiors but the bed was so so hard and the room was barely cleaned between nights. On night we were missing a towel, no coffee refill and the bins were still full from the previous night. The evening and breakfast food was very average. Nothing you could complain about but there seemed to be a quantity over quality theme. We did have a free room upgrade which was very much appriciated. We would stay again bet the bed and room cleaning was an issue to improve on

There’s the Elmbank hotel and lodge. We were given room 121 in new part of the hotel. Had poor sleep from doors banging shut. Carpet hadn’t been hoovered properly but otherwise was ok. Had to pay extra £10 for parking on premise.

Lovely stay
We called at the hotel early to drop off a suitcase so as we could enjoy york and was told our room was ready & we could check in there & then!! Fantastic!! The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was air-conditioned & had a large comfy bed. The bathroom was small but very clean and a lovely shower. Had all the equipment needed, tea, coffee, hairdryer, iron etc. The restaurant for breakfast was a beautiful setting and had great choices of help yourself continental followed by an order to table cooked breakfasts.
