Average at best
Hotel looked dated, toilets near dining room were in disgusting state. Room was way too hot! Couldn’t open the window to cool as it was sealed. Coffee machine in dining room didn’t work properly.

2busi but enjoying life
They had a full service gym attached to the hotel which was excellent. The breakfast offered a nice variety on both hot and cold side. Rooms were a bit small but I wasn’t planning to dance in it and the beds were comfortable.

Dirty Facilities and Cold Bedroom
Unfortunately my stay wasn't the best. Even though the staff were very friendly and helpful, the cleanliness and services let the hotel down.
The pool changing rooms were dirty and the floor was pretty disgusting with matted hair and dirt. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned all day (I went at 8pm), even though there was 3 staff on the Spa desk. I was hoping for a relaxing swim, unfortunately there was clubbing music blasting out and an aqua aerobics session on. It would of been nice to know this as I wouldn't of wasted my time.
The heating in the room was broken and the radiator didn't work. The lights also flickered and the duvet was very thin for winter months. There was a lovely girl on reception who swiftly brought me a mini radiator and another duvet, not ideal but my issue was resolved quickly.
There are no lifts and some of the rooms are well away from reception or the restaurants, so it's a bit of a mission to get around with your bags.
On a positive side, my room was an updated room and it was comfy and had all the amenities (apart from heating!). The gym was small, but of a very high standard with some brilliant equipment and much better than most hotels. The staff were also helpful and attentive.

Not so good. Work was being done near our room. There was a door to the outside near our room left open which made it cold. Furniture was being moved around and we heard people talking in the corridor outside our room early in the morning.

The hotel and staff was exceptional my only concerns the night I stay was quite noisy as think weddings guests were staying also. So my room wasn’t soundproof as stated plus disturb twice by knocking on door by drunk guests at wrong door number. Apart from that I honestly enjoyed my stay .

This was obviously a very good hotel previously, and probably will be again once its renovation has been completed, but at the moment the 21st century isn’t its friend… principally, the lack of a lift (which doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere in its publicity) is a pretty significant drawback. That aside, staff are great…

I felt like a 2nd class citizen
Pro: the staff were friendly.
Con: mis sold, dangerous, grim
I booked a wheelchair accessible room. I let them know I was a wheelchair user travelling alone in advance.
Unfortunately it seemed to be designed for the comfort of the carer of the disabled person.
This assumes all disabled people have carers (we don't, I travel alone) and that their needs are more important than the disabled person.
The issues with the room were :
The bathroom wasn't done to to the same standard as a normal doubletree bathroom. It felt more like an old hospital than a comfortable hotel.
Many things out of reach:
Reception - it said wheelchair access but what they meant is that from the main entrance to the room area you either have to go up stairs or walk 100m+ outside then go up a big step inside to ask for a ramp to be put down.
The emergency alarm in the room (which door safety should go to the floor, not to standing height so it can be pulled if one falls to the floor)
Getting through the front door to the part of the hotel with the room in
The main sink in the bathroom
The shower (head)
The tray in the shower to put your bottles of shower gel etc
The safe
The kettle
The iron
The ironing board
Curtains, so couldn't close them or the windows
The dressing gown
Bed was higher than maximum height recommended for wheelchair users
Plus
Awful WiFi
Dirty towels
Cigarette smell
Very thin walls, noisy
Why does Hilton think that disabled customers don't deserve the same quality of room?

Our stay in this hotel was good overall however the spa was dissapointing. The jacuzzi and the steam room were broken so we could only access the sauna and the pool. It was very busy over the weekend so space was very limited.
We also didn't get our room done because the service came at 5 pm when we were getting ready for dinner.
Staff at the reception and restaurant were lovely, breakfast is very good but additional to the cost of the room.
Parking also needed to be paid separately (£5 per night).
Overall a good stay but no good value for money, from our experience.
