We were given a friendy welcome on arrival and an overview of of the facilities. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room although not huge was well thought out and did not feel cramped. Breakfast was great, staff very pleasant / helpful and there were plenty of options, hot food all fresh and tasty. My only negative was that the mattress was soft on the edges, get close and feel like you may slip out! I would recommend and will have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

Easy car parking, great friendly welcome at reception and real good value for money accommodation for the price we paid. A little tired in places but that would not stop me staying again given what I've said.

6/10 Good

Booked last minute and although booked a double room on arrival was told they only had twin rooms which was disappointing and if we had known we would have booked elsewhere. Location is good for the centre and the racecourse - was noisy in the morning as the racecourse was clearing out after a days racing.

Great hotel, well positioned right next to the racecourse and only 10 / 15 minutes walk to the town centre. Rooms well maintained, bed very comfortable and towels changed daily even though we only stayed two nights. Secure car park next to the hotel at £12 per night. Breakfast absolutely delicious with a decent choice of food. Will definitely choose this hotel again when we decide we want a short break in Chester.

Excellent location and very nice reception staff. The only criticism is that the rooms were too hot. Hotels need to rethink how they can cope with the hot nights that have become a feature of climate change in this country.

It was helpful to park right next to the hotel, easy to come and go. Hotel was clean, our room overlooked the race course. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast is good.

6/10 Good

A nice size room however the view was over the dustbins and staff stood out there to chat so it was noisy too and we had to keep the windows closed. The bed was hard, the linens were shabby and one of the towels had a hole in it. The tv was a good size. Breakfast was good however I didn’t realise when I booked that the only evening meal on offer was a choice of 3 pizzas which was disappointing. It’s only a few minutes in to town up a steep hill though. The hotel is on the racecourse complex so I guess parking may be an issue on race days also it cost us £46 for 3 nights to park the car. I don’t think we would stay there again.

Modern standard room with comfortable bed and in a great location. 5 mins walk from the city centre. Staff very pleasant with a decent breakfast choice and quality. Parking at £10 per day is reasonable as it is so close to city centre.

Located a little outside the town with limited public transport options. Room was comfortable but lacking AC, though a fan was provided. Leaving a window open wasn't an option as a busy road ran alongside the premises.
