Learn more about Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Take the cable car to Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, where Alpine panoramas unfold beneath your feet and skiers enjoy excellent winter conditions from December through early May. The twin towns offer a perfect blend of outdoor adventure and Bavarian charm, with gingerbread-like buildings lining Ludwig Street. After conquering the slopes at Garmisch-Classic, warm up with hearty mountain fare in a wood-paneled café where the pretzels arrive hot and the beer flows cold. History buffs will appreciate Werdenfels Castle Ruins, while nature lovers shouldn't miss the hike up Wank Mountain for postcard-worthy views. The 1936 Winter Olympics left their mark here, but it's the year-round outdoor playground that keeps visitors returning.

"Great hotel"
Riessersee Hotel
"Great hotel 10/10. Super clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is friendly and kind. We would recommend for your stay in Bavaria."
HENRI Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Neueröffnung)
"Pool was not onsite and we had to go to another hotel which was not what we were expecting, but it was a Mild inconvenience for the quality and creative design of the hotel Staff was super nice and well situated close to the Main Street"
Wittelsbacher Hof Swiss Quality Hotel
"If you're a frequent traveler in Europe, you will know the vibe. It's been awhile since they've done any remodeling so it feels like a bit of a throwback, but hey it's nice not to stay in some overly tricked out boutique hotel. The back courtyard is really lovely and a great place to have breakfast whilst having the Alps looming over you. And that's why you're there in the first place."
Hotel & Gasthof Fraundorfer
"Great location"
Landhotel & Berggasthof Panorama
"This place is really all about the VIEW. Wow. You get the view from the parking lot, from the deck when you are eating, and from our room. We went to the Kempinski Hotel in Berchtesgaden after staying here, and honestly, the view at the Panorama was arguably better! The restaurant of the hotel is Italian themed and is wonderful - a nice change from the traditional Bavarian cuisine. Breakfast was good as well. The room was on the smaller side but very comfortable for two. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. There is no A/C , but this is typical. The owners/staff are super friendly and proud of their property (rightly so). Parking was convenient and ample. Convenient to Garmisch and Zugspitze and Wankbahn. Recommended!!"
Hotel Zugspitze
"Wonderful room with a balcony. Warm welcome and guided around the facilities on arrival. Travelling with a 13 year old and a sofa bed had been made up for them. All amenities available with super coffee maker, fridge, robes and slippers plus complimentary water. Lovely balcony to sit and watch the world go by and appreciate the stunning scenery. No air conditioning and so we kept the balcony door open at night but there was a fan which we also made use of. Breakfast and mid afternoon snacks were delicious and the hotel is in perfect location for visiting other restaurants and easy access to buses/trains/public transport. So much to do in the area and also free bike hire from the hotel. An amazing stay, thank you."
