The location was very well kept and very clean public bathrooms with public showers that are phenomenal. The wreck area has a lot for families to do for kids to enjoy as well but it’s just a 40 minute drive to get to Yosemite village.

Overall, we had a good stay. Our cabin was nice, clean and had all the amenities we needed for a few days. The office staff is very nice and helpful. The property itself is in need of a lot of maintenance especially the cabins. There is no cell signal (at least for Verizon) and Wi-Fi is only available in 2 main buildings. We really only wanted signal for maps, weather, the occasional check-in at home, and safety (bears and fires are a concern). I am torn on whether or not I would stay here again.

This property was a great experience. I do not recommend if you’re dependent on your phone. There was no cellphone reception or a reliable wifi signal. Other than that, it was a beautiful stay and easy to check in and check out of. Cabin was in great condition and it was neatly organized!

Deceptive Listing, Rude Staff, and Nightmare Stay

We booked expecting a cozy yurt-style bunkhouse, as shown in the listing photo. What we got was a misleading description and a bait-and-switch. Upon arrival, staff ignored us—one was helping someone, the other stared at a screen and didn’t even acknowledge us. When he finally spoke, his exact words were, “I guess I’ll have to help. What can I do for you?” We were given incorrect directions to our cabin and had to return to the desk for help. The actual cabin was nothing like the listing—it felt more like a horror movie set than a glamping experience. Windows didn’t open, and the area was sketchy. Despite rules against campfires, people were burning fires freely. Staff shrugged it off, saying they “have to man the desk and ranger the areas.” That logic is baffling. We left after one night, refusing to stay the second. Now we’re being overcharged. This place feels like a scam, not a legitimate business. Renters beware—Yosemite Lakes RV Resort is a money grab, not a getaway.

We appreciated that we were not sleeping in a tent. The area is very close to Yosemite National Park, excellent TV reception, and a nice staff. We thought the cabin was in need of maintenance, the porch was very rickety, kitchen cabinet falling hanging by a thread, Really uncomfortable futon in living room.

Inadequate facilities

Be prepared to pay for any early check in. Space around our cabin was minimal. Fire ring is only a few feet from your car and is surrounded by ashes from previous campers that will track into your car, the cabin and everywhere else. A little sand or gravel around the fire pit would help this. I would not want to be here during peak time of year because of the restroom and shower facility. It was clean and new just not adequate for a full site.

Everything was very good except for that the the gas grills were missing. Their web site and the Expedia site show a large gas grill in front of each cottage. We were a group of 14 people, and stayed in two cottages, one yurt, and a tent site for three nights. We had planned meals for 14 people relying on the grills. The lack of grills made cooking very difficult. Their office hours are 9am to 5pm. We were out hiking during those hours so we couldn't speak to them. After I came back from the hiking trip, I sent them a message about the discrepancy on the facility (that's why I gave one star) but I still haven't heard from them. The misleading photographs lead to difficulty with cooking.

Overall, a disappointing stay. Not at all as depicted in the pictures. I never did find the bathroom or showers. I'd really like to talk to the guests that rated this place so highly to find out why my experience was less than stellar. The little cabin wasn't dirty, but it wasn't really clean. The sheets, blankets, etc. were a mismatched hodgepodge and I really couldn't tell what was clean and what wasn't. The refrigerator buzzed so loudly, I could hardly sleep. The office hours didn't align with my plans each day so I wasn't able to get or give more information. Plus, with minimal cell service, I couldnt call. I definitely could not recommend and I wonder if the parent organization is aware of this property's condition.
