I read a lot of reviews before I booked. This hotel had a high rating and lots of great reviews, which is a good thing. However I was a bit taken back because I think I was expecting better facilities. I want to give an honest assessment of our experience.
The customer service is great! Lots of smiles and attentiveness.
The airport shuttle was a super amenity that was run quite efficiently. (FYI: Taxi’s are very expensive, so the shuttle was much appreciated!)
We didn’t have breakfast, but it looked like a normal hotel breakfast experience.
We really liked the coffee machine in the lobby… hot coffee all day.
Cracker Barrel and Outback are walking distance.
The hotel is run down. Not fancy but also worn out in some ways such as the couch in the room that had a big dip in the middle and the bed that squeaked.
As far as cleanliness, the tub has stained and our floors were very dirty. Maybe they were extra busy and just missed the fact that they didn’t clean them, but they weren’t cleaned. I got a washcloth and tried to clean up the areas where we were going to walk in the most.
Overall, there aren’t many choices near the airport, so this one fit the bill. In a nutshell, now that I have a better expectation, I’d stay again and would recommend it.
