I've stayed here many times. One of the things I enjoy is a nice cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the view of the ocean. Something has changed with the coffee they serve. Essentially the coffee is extremely weak. Perhaps it's a way for saving money, but very disappointing for the consumer who pays a fair amount to stay here.
Staff are always nice and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The view is amazing! We had the pool to ourselves for a couple of nights, which was very nice. The front desk was courteous, for the most part. The restaurant was clean but the food is quite expensive for the quality. The breakfast menu (included with the rate) is basic. If you order milk with your coffee, you have to pay extra for said milk. If you order orange juice and a bottle of water, you have to pay for either. The food takes a long time to arrive and it is usually cold. If you order pupusas, for example, and you ask for extra curtido, it will take 15 minutes to get it. Once the food is served, you are pretty much on your own. If you tip the waiters well (on top of the already mandatory tip added to your bill), they will give you the VIP treatment, which I highly recommend….but you will still have to wait when you ask for extras.
We had problems with the toilet, which got plugged but was resolved while we were out.
On both Friday and Saturday evenings, there was a wedding on each night. The music was excessively loud until midnight. We were told by the reception that it is what it is.
The hotel is situated in a very accessible area to other beaches, which is nice. The security at the hotel is tight.
