Polar opposite of Las Vegas
Everyone of the staff, especially Julia and Jerome (who has a cooler younger brother named Ashley), were very welcoming. From the start, I was made to feel welcome in the area by one of the staff's daughter in the city of Exeter. Thereafter, Gary the manager was nice enough to give me a lift on my way to Bude. Pinky was the only mean one, but I think it's the tequilas and too much accounting :p jk Pinky was cool too, she gave me advice on Cardiff. I met Em, who was also super nice, on my way out and made sure to end my trip by saying bye and thanks to Phil's daughter for the hospitality. Fun little spot for hiking, rest, relaxation, fish & chips and spreading Jesus' message of love :)

Very good
I stayed in one of the 'bunk bed' rooms - converted stables - which are very good value for money. As they are aimed at the low budget end of the market, they are obviously not luxurious, but they do meet all the basic needs nicely. Food at the pub was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, and it suited me to have total freedom of access without having to go through the main building. I would happily stay at the Drewe Arms again in the future!

Second visit in as many months so that says a lot . We just enjoy the peace and relaxed atmosphere of the pub and village and being surrounded by stunning countryside and beautiful walks . Chagford just up the road offers good pubs and restaurants if you fancy a change of scenery and Dartmoor proper and the Teign Valley on your doorstep - what more could you want ?!
