Learn more about Palermo

Lose yourself in the chaotic beauty of ancient markets where vendors hawk exotic produce and street food with theatrical flair. The Arab-Norman architecture dazzles at every turn, especially in the Cappella Palatina with its jaw-dropping golden mosaics. Teatro Massimo offers cultural performances in a setting so grand it featured in 'The Godfather.' After sampling arancini from street carts, escape to Mondello Beach where locals perfect the art of stylish seaside lounging. The Vucciria and Ballarò markets pulse with centuries of Mediterranean commerce, while Quattro Canti marks the crossroads where the city's historic quarters meet. Come hungry - Palermo rewards those willing to embrace its beautiful chaos.

B&B Hotel Palermo Quattro Canti

B&B Hotel Palermo Quattro Canti

10/10 Excellent
"The B&B is brilliantly located at Quattro Canti, the central crossroads in the heart of Palermo. The close up view from the terrace of several church domes is superb. The property would benefit from even a small amount of upgrading. It is rather utilitarian and reminiscent of student hostel accommodation. In our room, one of the metal legs of the bed had ground a noticeable hole in the linoleum flooring. It degrades the overall impression. There is a lack of management in the terrace restaurant at breakfast. On different days, the umbrellas were not raised, there were no plates, cutlery had run out, the eggs and sausages were stone cold every day etc. Certain food items need replenishing etc. There didn’t seem to be anyone managing the overall guest offering. This is a shame, as the terrace is superb. We would stay again, because if the location and terrace, but would gladly see more efforts to upgrade the property."

Hotel Politeama

10/10 Excellent
"My family stayed at hotel Politeama for a night before heading to the ferry for Morettimo. From the cleanliness of the room, to the amazing breakfast, it was a perfect stay! Great location, friendly staff, and I would like to especially call out the INCREDIBLE Concierge, Dorotea! She went out of her way to ensure that we could change our rental car drop off location and help us get a shuttle to the Ferry. She was always willing to help and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and even offered suggestions on where to take my wife for her birthday! We cannot say enough about her and we hope to be able to stay there again in the future!"

Eurostars Centrale Palace

10/10 Excellent
"This is an old world hotel that does not disappoint in its style and uniqueness. The location is right in the heart of historic Palermo with all the sights within 15 minutes walk in any direction. The breakfast is amazing. The rooftop restaurant is a charming and quiet with a wonderful city panorama with mountain surrounding all around and great for sunsets. The terrace bar is quiet and private with a charming waiter who will remember you. This is a spot for travelers who enjoy an old world experience with charm. If you want to be overlay pampered and think you deserve fantastic luxury - then stay away. You’ll just complain and I don’t want the staff to have to deal with you."
