I did not expect this to be a “hostel” type of place. We had to share bathrooms and it was very much unpleasant. Kind of like living in college all over again lol..

good location near the church. Liked the clean room, but parking is nighmare. Only 4 are available for 10 rooms. street parking is only options for the weekdays with parking fee. Weekend is fine. We had a shower issue but property manager responses were bit annoying.

2/10 Poor

DO NOT STAY HERE! The property is unclean and poorly kept. When I got out of the car, the first thing I noticed was a foul odor emanating from the house bins, which had remained full since my arrival till I departed two days later. There were flies both inside and outside the house. The scent in the house is awful. A combination of unclean and strong culinary odors. The room was filthy, and I have pictures to prove it. The advantage is that the guest house is conveniently located.

Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two.

Water pressure in the shower was amazing and the heated towel rack was great for drying wet clothes.

Would not stay again
The steps were very slippery and one of the metal edges was loose. My friend fell down the steps and skinned up her back. They don’t want you to wear your shoes inside, so that makes a dangerous condition. The inside of the room left something to be desired. We found a dirty sock under the bed, the blinds was just a single roller shade no curtains, and it didn’t come all the way down to the bottom due to the window hook. The other guests were not friendly, but I don’t blame the hotel for that.

We stayed in 5 hotels in our loop around Iceland. This was by far our worst stay. No parking(fewer spaces than there are rooms) Greeted by a huge pile of garbage at the front steps. Check in was a hassle. Lovely city though. This place is corporate owned and we will avoid them now always.

Room was small but adequate. Bathroom had multiple broken tiles in the shower, a tiny sink and minimal water pressure. Towels were very thin. Beds were comfortable.

6/10 Good

This was the only place left even after reserving 6 mos in advance. Felt more like a hostel which is fine. But for a family of 4, we would have preferred someplace with more conveniences like parking, quiet from the common areas, larger restroom, and separate room from the bunk bed. Also since no one was on site, felt less welcoming than a traditional hotel. Otherwise it worked out fine. We appreciated the accommodations.

Clean and comfy
The room was very clean and spare. It was easier to hear people on other rooms, but everyone was quiet after 9pm.

This property was not clean. I would prefer to pay more for another place in the city to have a clean place to stay. The communication prior to arrival was terrible. I had to call Expedia because the contact information was incorrect. It took two calls before I was given the access code. The directions weren't correct, although once in the building it was straight forward. Will not stay here again.
