Very atmospheric stone building. Nice comfortable bed in a spacious room, modern bathroom and shower. Great location from which to explore St Emilion. Was a little challenging to find, with metered parking a few hundred meters away. Although our French speaking is not good and the greeter did not speak any English, we did just fine and everything went according to plan. Les Cordeliers wine tasting store just 10 feet across the lane, so if you are here for the wine, and we were, this is a perfect spot. Very convenient location to wander the village on foot, with many cafes and restaurants and most importantly, very many wine shops. We prefer to test wines this way as we don't wish to drink and drive, and there were many wine stores willing and eager to offer us wine tastings of St Emilion wines. We found some nice shops with knowledgeable owners who helped us zero in on wine profiles we like, and after tasting several different vintners wines we purchased a couple of cases to ship back to the USA. St Emilion is a lovely historic village, a jewel in the crown of Bordeaux wine culture, surrounded by vineyards and many opportunities to try them wine. After a full day of wine tasting, we enjoyed a stroll around the village perimeter, wandering past ruins, vineyards and nice vistas. Logis des Cordeliers was a perfect base for our wine centric purposes.
