It's a very nice hotel with beautiful view over lake Annecy. The server at breakfast was delightful. The only thing that marred my visit was the attitude of the server Easter evening. I had had a big meal midday with friends and I wanted just a salad. I ordered a 15 euro mocktail and a salad and the server was clearly irritated and pushed me to order wine. I'm bilingual and visit France frequently and I'm pretty stunned that this attitude persists. It's very unwelcome behavior. Il avait pas mal de caractère.

We booked a room on the third floor, and it was not mentioned anywhere that access is only by stairs, which made it quite inconvenient with luggage. Also, the ceiling height in the bathroom was not specified. This was a real issue — the ceiling is extremely low, and even with average height it is impossible to shower standing up comfortably. I actually hit my head, and it made the experience quite uncomfortable. It feels unreasonable not to mention something like this. If this information had been provided in advance, we would have easily chosen a different room.
