The location was great and staff were helpful. It’s just my rooms bathroom smells so bad had to change the room, and then when I changed it the room was very cold But as it was central heating couldn’t do much.

Excellent! Very nice staff. Room and bathroom were cleaned everyday but the bed was not made. Didn’t get any indication on VIP package. Non withstanding was able to use the spa facilities for showering and getting ready to travel even after checking out that was very important due to a long flight

Based on the room rates and exterior photos, I thought this was more of an historic or luxury property. The hotel was fine but not fancy at all. It didn't feel overly welcoming - just a nice place to stay in Sofia. Excellent location for us as it was quiet at night and reasonable walking distance to metro and bus station. The bed was surprising very comfortable but the duvet had a stain and the carpet was worn (why no hardwood floors?). The bathroom was good and the room was clean with good climate control - A/C and window opened which was important. Breakfast was fine (typical) though for me hotel coffee is often of poor quality. As an Expedia VIP I was offered Free Parking which is ridiculous as we had no car. Why bother to be a VIP hotel if you can't offer a benefit that a guest can enjoy. Instead a bottle of Bulgarian wine in the room or drink at the bar would be much appreciated (for example). I would consider staying there again but not for the rate I paid as it seemed overpriced based on the cost of living in Sofia - maybe that's due to a lack of competition in the city. So overall OK if you get a good price

Poor
We booked the wrong date by mistake and when we tried to work through expedia, the hotel refused to change the date one day forward. yes I read the terms and conditions and I will admit that they were technically correct and did not have to refund my booking or move the reservation. If the hotel had been full and there was a convention in town and they would have lost money by making the change, then I would completely understand. This was not the case. In then end, I believe in the golden rule of treating others as you would like to be treated. I wish the hotel would have been a little more willing to adjust for the name of customer service. Based on this experience I can not suggest dealing with or consider booking with them in the future. Companies that have rules most certainly have the right to enforce them as they see fit, but sometimes a little good will goes a long way. A class I taught previously, we worked with managers and showed them the data in regards to keep and attracting customers. I wish this company had had the benefit of this training.

Very nice hotel in convenient area.
Initially I was in a very noisy room beside the staff room but was moved to an apt once I informed them about the noise issue. After that everything was good. Very nice friendly helpful staff. In a good area not far from the landmark church of Sofia. Would stay there again. Gym very small with few items of equipment.
