We had a great stay at Ad Hoc in Palermo. The location is excellent. Luca and his family are very welcoming, and communication was excellent. Room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Roof top terrace was nice. There are 4 flights of stairs with no elevator (which wasn't an issue for us, but may be for others).

Even though there was an unexpected change (the original unit seemed to be overbooked), I was moved to “Zefiro suites”, and it was an outstanding experience. Very friendly hosts - helpful with transportation and recommendations, excellent location in Centro Storico, quiet room with great A/C, nice breakfast on pleasant terrace. The room is up five flights of stairs - OK for us (even at the end of a long day of walking) and Luca was very kind in helping with bags, but stairs could be a real issue for some guests.
