I stayed at Roema Guest House in Rome for seven days, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
The location is fairly close to Vatican City but quite far from the main city center. Public transport made it easier to get to the hotel, but it’s not ideal for exploring central Rome.
The room was spacious, with decent cleanliness, but the minimalist design left much to be desired. The bed was uncomfortable, with a dirty headboard and mattresses that didn’t fit properly, making sleep difficult. There was very little furniture, and barely a chair to sit on.
The staff I spoke to on the phone were friendly and helpful, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. However, the requirement to complete online check-in before arrival was inconvenient.
The shared kitchen was not great. It only had a small fridge, freezer, and stove, with no oven, microwave, or laundry facilities. The kitchen equipment was worn out and not particularly clean.
The free Wi-Fi in the room worked very well, which was a plus.
The bathroom was cramped and had poor water pressure in the shower, which often clogged. However, the toilet was clean and well-maintained.
For the price, I expected more comfort and better facilities. Overall, I would not recommend Roema Guest House for families or long stays.
