Excellent snorkling and diving! Unfortunately this hotel does not have their own diving school and we had to go their neighbours, Memories. Facilities (pool, beach chairs) were food, service at reception was not good; no explanation of the available services/facilities. Also, it was not possible to get a bottle of water, big or small. We also dive, which means hydrating is very important. Since we did boat dives, going to a bar for some cups of water is not convenient. Water should be made easily available. We hardly drink alcohol or soft drinks, therefore a bottle of water should not be a problem. Also, you get a lot of plastic cups and straws when getting drinks. A lot of those, ended up at the beach/ shoreline. Recycling/more eco friendly methods would be nice. Furthermore, the state of our room was not good; it was dated and not clean: there was an ant nest and there was chewing gum on my bedboard. The pillows did not smell fresh but used. The AC was not working properly. We got a special and cheap offer, so we did not complain. If we did not have the special offer, this would not have been acceptable. Also, there was no ATM available and the nearest is in a town several KM’s walkingdistance. One should be made available in the hotelZ

Great place and location with poor food buffet
Nice pool area, friendly staff - acceptable rooms - but way to many mosquito and no way of keeping them out of the rooms since the doors had large gaps. Ignoring the mosquitoes and the poor quality food buffet: Great place / value for money. Btw. Cuban people have very bad buffet manners :-(

Das Essen ist sehr mäßig, die Getränke ebenfalls. Leider kann man nur in einem unterkühlten, sehr lauten Speiseraum sitzen und nicht im Freien. Die Liegen am Strand sind zum Teil zerbrochen und dadurch nicht nutzbar.

Très déçu
Accueil très moyen suite à notre arrivée tardive (pas de repas prévu), les repas sont de qualité moyenne et très répétitifs (menus industrialisés), les lits de notre chambre étaient trop petits, on nous a volé une paire de chaussures déclaré à la réception qui n'en a fait aucun cas, très peu de transats disponibles et la plupart étaient cassé, cest proprement scandaleux au vu du prix paye ,trop peu de parasols pour le nombre de personnes accueillis, heureusement la plage était superbe. Au final nous sommes très déçu par cet établissement et nous n y remettront plus les pieds, nous ne le recommandons pas.

Extensive grounds and beach are extremely well maintained. Too many broken beach chaise longues. Front desk staff not very helpful and we were given no information about the little things. Very disappointed that snorkelling gear was not available as all websites had indicated. Hobie cat sailing was fun; food was varied and overall good except one beef entree at El Criollo. Quiet, relaxed, unpretentious and eminently inexpensive.

This is a small resort with a huge beach and some of the best snorkeling you’ll find anywhere. Accommodations are basic but they do contain everything you need, and the beds are comfortable - and the grounds are lovely. The best thing about this resort is the staff - they are the best! This resort has more return guests than any other resort in Cuba and a good part of that is due to the staff - they become friends.

Das Hotel ist leider schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wir waren in einem der Zimmer im „Haupthaus“: Stockflecken, abgeplatzte stellen an Türen und Wänden und eine alte Einrichtung. Die Anlage an sich ist schön und die Lage direkt am Meer ideal-man könnte hier viel mehr daraus machen. Leider gab es unglaublich viele Quallen (wohl jahreszeitbedingt), sodass man nicht schwimmen konnte. Im All inclusive Paket sind auch alle Getränke und ua. auch der Verleih von Kajaks und sogar Surfmaterial. Das Essen lässt trotz einiger Auswahl zu wünschen übrig (zB sehr verkochte Nudeln). Die Fahrt nach Playa Jibacoa mit dem Taxi von Havanna kostet 50CUC. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier-länger würde ich auch nicht bleiben.
