Stayed at River Rooms Nottingham for a night. Good value for the price, no frills but everything you need. The room was clean and comfortable enough, though finding it was a bit of a maze. Corridors winding off in odd directions, a few too many fire doors. Felt like I'd earned a drink by the time I'd located the right door.
Parking is tight. Not impossible, but you'll want to arrive knowing you might need a few minutes of patience. Once you're sorted though, the location works well. Nice walks along the river right on the doorstep, and it's an easy stroll into town. Handy for the football and cricket grounds too, which explains the clientele.
It's not a destination hotel, but it doesn't pretend to be. Practical, affordable, and well placed. I'd use it again for a match day.
