A cosy hotel in a quiet part of the city. Short distance to the metro and local restaurants and bars. Charming, boutique feel, and very friendly staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kampen Hotel and I’m already looking forward to coming back again. The hotel was very easy to find, and the staff were lovely and welcoming. I especially appreciated that one of the staff members kindly allowed me to check in before 15:00. That was so thoughtful and kind of her. It really made me feel welcomed. Thank you for the great service! I look forward to staying here again. 😊

Nothing fancy was a reasonable priced hotel I could find that evening compared to other hotels being offered at a higher price. Nothing fancy and friendly staff.

Website touts it is a boutique hotel. It is not. The rooms were clean, but had the smallest shower I can imagine. Bed is a memory foam mattress, and has the smallest flatest pillow. Linens were clean. Based on the rooms we had its a 2 star hotel. Very loud as we were off the ally. Very warm rooms. Metro was easy to use to the city centre. And had good shops around.

Good variety of breakfast items to suit all needs. Coffee refill during the day at no extra cost a bonus. The staff were friendly and happy to give help when handling any queries. Good location. Room excellent, spacious and clean. Only issue would have is nowhere to put clothes. There was a small hand rail on the wall but otherwise mo storage. Otherwise excel t overall stay. Would recommend here.

Basic, clean room with comfortable beds. Be careful about opening floor to sealing window which exposed an unprotected drop to the pavement below of around 6 feet. Unsafe in my opinion

Check in was good at the bar/desk and he was helpful with the train app. Sketchy dude at the bar after I came back from dropping off the car. The light switch for the kitchen was broken right off the wall and there were signs all over to not use the apartment amenities.

Unfortuntley not the best stay. The man who checked us in was kind and helpful and also checked us in earlier than 3pm. The room we had booked was a twin room and on the 2nd floor. It was just soooooo uncomfortable because of the room being sooooo warm even though we had a fans in our room. When we opened the window we were basically in the car park at the back of the hotel were people were walking past all the time. The lady in reception came and inspected our room as we could not handle the uncomfortable warmth and we had a wish to change rooms, She completley agreed with us that it was way to warm and not nice to stay there. We were then given another room which was bigger but still the same issues with the feeling of it being so hot even though it wasnt that hot in Oslo, but stuck it out with 2 fans. You really feel it when you have been out for the day or just a couple of hours and enter the room again. The positive with this hotel is it's pretty central and you have basically the bus and T-bane right outside the door. They also serve free coffee and tea which is a nice gesture. With Oslo being very expensive with accomodation this is an ok choice as its more within reasonable pricing but keep in mind it has some room for improvement.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Unfortunately, there were no glasses or mugs in the room, so there was no convenient way to drink water or have tea or coffee. There was also no welcome message, drink, or any small welcoming touch. The breakfast information was not very clear, especially regarding lactose-free options and allergies. Clearer information and better labeling of allergens would make the breakfast experience much easier for guests with dietary needs. Overall, a few simple improvements could make the stay more comfortable and welcoming.
