I would highly recommend staying here if you're in San Jose. It's a quiet oasis amongst the outskirts of the city. The property is very clearly well-maintained. The staff were all amazing. We had a garden view room so although close to the road, we were not bothered at all by road noise. Beautiful & definitely recommend the restaurant as well. The included breakfast was great, but we also had dinner here and the food and service was superb!

I stayed at Villa San Ignacio for one night after landing late at the airport before beginning a motorcycle trip around Costa Rica. It turned out to be a very convenient and pleasant place to start the journey. The room itself was fairly basic, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed for a short stay after a long travel day. What really stood out was the property. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with a really nice pool area that makes the whole place feel relaxing and tucked away from the road. The restaurant was another highlight. It is a lovely space and a great place to sit down for a meal before or after travel. It added a lot of character to the property and made the stay feel more special than a typical overnight airport stop. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made arriving late in a new country much easier. Overall, Villa San Ignacio is a great option if you are arriving late or need a comfortable place near the airport before heading off to explore Costa Rica.
