Lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms are a bit outdated but the bed was comfy and the price was excellent. We had a great nights sleep and were pleased with our choice

FX Hotel offers very reasonable prices, with a clean and comfortable environment. The overall stay was satisfying, the staff were friendly, and the location is fairly convenient. It’s a lodging option worth recommending.

Not sure why on Google it has less than 4 stars as it was an excellent stay, all in all. Lobby is located on the 8th floor, with elevators being outside on the ground floor. Check in was smooth, and the room was clean, spacious and functional. I had the trendy room double bed, and for one person it had an abundance of space-full desk, double bed, and while the bathroom isn't the largest, it is absolutely functional and the shower is sizable. Used the laundry room during my stay which was useful and not too busy. The location was very convenient, don't know much about Tainan's structure but there are numerous restaurants and stands, with many being on the Michelin guide and more. In a 5-10 minute walking radius there are a great number of food options, and if you expand it to 15 minutes you now have great shopping options too. I highly recommend FX Hotel Tainan, and am glad to have been able to stay for an extraordinarily reasonable price.

A nice hotel in the city center

Room is spacious and newly renovated, but slightly dusty. location of hotel is in central.

6/10 Good

The family room is not bad except the bathroom and the sink are a kinda of mouldy. There is No hair conditioner provided. The separate toilet with a door is an excellent idea for a family. No fridge and ironing board provided too. The location of the hotel is good and central to move about.

Nice hotel. Seems a little overpriced though. Room is a decent size for 1-2 people. The privacy curtain for the shower is outside of the bathroom. There was a balcony/corridor outside of my room that made me worry about leaving my curtains open. The tv had channels in Eng and Ch. Decent spot.

Tainan is not public transport friendly. This location is nice. Room is just ok. A bit old looking.

8/10 Very good

Room is a little dated albeit spacious. Location is good, walkable distance to nearby attractions. Front desk staff Mr. Li was very helpful and proactive in his service. He knew we will departing to Taichung and offered to give some recommendations for dining. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

6/10 Good

It’s a convenient location, closed to lots of restaurants and markets, but hotel lobby is at 8th floor, rooms at 9th floor and up. The hotel guests are bit mixed, there were some nice polite guests but also some loud and obnoxious guests. We stayed at family room, two bathrooms are plus. But there’s no room divider in between the rooms. Hotel staffs are polite and willing to help. They speak English and Mandarin. With the price I paid, I give it 3 stars, just okay, nothing stands out to impress me. I will only return if I get to pay same price again next time. $70 for a family room a night, it’s a bargain.

4/10 Fair

The hotel boasts 4 stars online but it did not live up to the expectations of such decree. 1. The late night service staff were nonchalant and unfriendly. 2. The hotel stipulates a no smoking policy but the room reeked with cigarette stink. 3. False advertising regarding free bike rental on their room cards. 4. Overall very disappointing. The two stars is for the location of the hotel; it is nicely located in the vicinity of amenities .

6/10 Good

Honestly a bit expensive for what it was. Even though they said no smoking, our room smelled quite bad of cigarettes. Either the previous user smoked or it used to be a smoking room and the smell has seeped into the walls. The room was quite old - you could see the wear and tear and the bathroom wasn't great. It was usable but if you looked in the corners you can see rust and you can really tell the age. Staff were very nice though. Very polite and friendly. The area isn't bad, it's next to a big road so there's plenty of food and shopping options. It was a walking distance from a local market. The area and the building entrance looks tiny bit sketchy but Taiwan is safe so we felt quite safe even after dark. Although if this was any other country, I would have thought twice about staying.
