I stayed at this hotel in Belgrade and, overall, both the hotel and the staff were excellent and the experience during my stay was very good. However, the post-stay handling of the room deposit was very disappointing and is the only aspect of my experience I would like to highlight.
A €639 security deposit was placed on my card at check-in, which was expected to be released after check-out, as the stay was fully paid using a different card. However, the refund process was neither clear nor properly communicated, and I had to spend several weeks trying to obtain accurate information.
What was most frustrating was the lack of clear explanation and cooperation regarding the status of the deposit. Despite my requests, I did not receive sufficient information or documentation, which made the process unnecessarily stressful. I have never encountered such a confusing handling of a deposit in any other hotel.
Ultimately, I had to resolve the issue through my bank without receiving adequate support from the hotel in terms of clarification or documentation.
This review does not reflect the quality of the hotel or its staff, which were very good, but rather the poor management and communication regarding the security deposit process, which significantly affected the overall experience.
