Very happy with our stay
Excellent, visited this hotel as in February 9th 1945 my grandfather was outside here with the the 61st Highland Anti Tank Regiment. Great history in the area and the hotel. We did have a little difficulty during dinner with language barrier mixing our main courses and part of our order was not given however we received excellent help for an English speaking waiter and the situtwas rectified.

8/10 Very good

Great food but room is a trip hazard.
Firstly, the property is in a great location with lovely views and has been modernized and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, there is no lift. There was a lovely, big, comfortable bed in our room and it also had a built-in electric fire. However, the design of room was not to our taste with an open plan bathroom. If you want to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, you have to step up, walk past the bath plumbing, step down, turn right and step up again. With no night light provided. If you turn on the main light, you wake up your partner. And the textured wall really hurts if you bump against it! This is a case of designers not thinking about the use of the room - only its look. The chocolates were so old that they had a white-ish film over them. The food was great apart from the fact that I had a thick slice of potato that was barely cooked and inedible. On the whole service was good and friendly although 1 waitress, when asked for the dessert menus, said she would send someone over to take our plates away and then come back with the menus. 17 minutes later she came back! In the meantime, after 10 minutes, we had asked another waiter and he immediately cleared the table himself and brought us menus. He was a really hard worker. It seemed as though there was no-one in charge in the restaurant, that all the staff were expected to look after all the tables but then things got missed and there was a lack of communication (which we witnessed with other guests too).

Nice Hotel Nice Food - Customer Relations Not Grea
Enjoyed Staying at this Hotel but was told that if I wanted to eat in the restaurant I should have booked. I was turned away and told to come back later. I then sat through dinner which was very nice but could have been better if I did not have an empty wine glass throughout my meal. This took the shine off my stay.

Country hotel in beautiful scenic setting
The Wolfsberg is a wonderful country-side hotel in a beautiful scenic setting. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant is very welcoming, even for walkers with dogs and the odd horse. It is an outstanding venue for weddings and other family events.

10 Stars do not do it justice- AWESOME place
Amazing does not do it justice. Only 3 Star as er tourist board but travellers have given it close to 5Stars and I see why. Beautifully decorated, fantastic staff, the best bread anywhere and top notch dining..cannot fault it for anything. The staff were the best, always smiling, always willing to help. The dinner I had (special menu Mon-Thu) 2 course was out of this world..I would have paid twice for the soup alone. The breads I have said elsewhere were simply the best I ever had in a hotel/restaurant. 10 Stars

Amazing stay in a hunting castle
Was there with my mother, sister and niece for the 70th Anniversary celebrations of VE Day (Victory in Europe). Had stayed here 10 years previous - new renovations - looks fabulous. Bathrooms are large with new fixtures and showers. Kitchen staff were very accommodating - we arrived very late - and they made us some wonderful soup and snacks. Breakfast buffet is incredible - an amazing choice of food. One morning we had to leave early for a celebration - before the buffet opened - however, the staff came in early just to prepare breakfast for us. Evening meal was excellent - staff is very friendly and helpful.

Prachtige ligging
