The entrance is terrible due to renovations but my room (502) was excellent, clean, large and well equipped. The linen impressed me most, crispy clean and I suspect of the highest quality. Staff were not sighted but serviced the room well and the location scores a 10 out of 10. I will stay again seeking room 502.

The chap at reception was great, but the property is currently being rebranded, I think, and my room and my cousin's on 5th and 6th floors respectively were tiny and furniture very rough-shod. Not enough powerpoints. To boil the jug for a hot drink unless unplug something else, or use the outlets in the bathroom . The bedside reading light wasnt plugged in, and couldn't be because there was no powerpoint in reach of the cord. There was one down beside the other side of the bed, but there was no bedside table to put it on on that side because there wasn't room for one. However, our friend who was given a room on 2nd floor had a large, spacious room that looked like it had had a recent makeover. Hopefully the rest of the property will receive the same treatment. (And the second lift will get fixed!) The price though was very reasonable, so you get what you pay for, and only a short walk from Adelaide Oval if that's the focus of your visit. Immediate surroundings have noisy nightlife on the weekends, though there are free earplugs available from reception. You'll probably need them.

Great location - easy access to the city! Room was clean but just metres from reception which I felt uncomfortable about. I immediately asked if another room was available instead and the manager agreed offering to do so after the first night as no staff were available to prepare a room. Bed was lovely, comfortable with clean sheets. Windows were paper thin and noise could be heard throughout the night. There was also a cold draft. Block out blinds weren’t fully able to make the room completely dark. The heater/air conditioner made a loud repetitive noise all night even after being turned off. The bathroom needed a renovation but was functional. Moved to another room (upgraded) for the remainder of my stay and it was much better overall. Same issue with thin windows, noise and block out blinds. Bathroom in slightly better condition. Main entrance area felt a little unsafe at night with rough people hovering around door way. The manager saw and asked them to move on thankfully. Nahid (manager) went out of his way to accommodate every request, was very kind and a pleasure to deal with.

I'm not one for leaving ratings but the disparity of 5 stars and actual is alarming. It is undergoing lift changes, but the room itself, poorly put together, stains in vanity, paint chips everywhere, aircon was a window rattler that sucked in cooking smells from kitchens below, and I just froze because it kept reverting to 10 degrees. No robe ok, safe was inoperable with a flat battery. Bed was clean, shower was clean. To be quite honest, worst value for money room in my travel life ever. Hindley Street rocks all night and you hear it. Clean up of street sweeper and blowers start around 4:30 + and you hear that full on too. I think it is undergoing a name change, so be aware.

If you want to save money this place is ok, but make sure you bring ear plugs as it's very noisy. It's clean and comfortable and located close to everything. If you can afford more money I'd stay somewhere else but but if trying to save it's ok, still over priced for what it is though. Staff were polite and professional.

The Cosmo on Bank lives up to its reputation, the location is second to none. We stayed for a cricket trip and I would recommend this place to any group who wants a cheap place to rest their head for 3 hours a day. The room we had was actually clean compared to some Google reviews. Our room had no toilet paper but with one simple request to the helpful man at the front desk there was 2 rolls waiting for us when we got back from a night out
