The entrance is terrible due to renovations but my room (502) was excellent, clean, large and well equipped. The linen impressed me most, crispy clean and I suspect of the highest quality. The chap at reception was great, but the property is currently being rebranded, I think, and my room and my cousin's on 5th and 6th floors respectively were tiny and furniture very rough-shod. Not enough powerpoints. To boil the jug for a hot drink unless unplug something else, or use the outlets in the bathroom . The bedside reading light wasnt plugged in, and couldn't be because there was no powerpoint in reach of the cord. There was one down beside the other side of the bed, but there was no bedside table to put it on on that side because there wasn't room for one. However, our friend who was given a room on 2nd floor had a large, spacious room that looked like it had had a recent makeover. Hopefully the rest of the property will receive the same treatment. (And the second lift will get fixed!) The price though was very reasonable, so you get what you pay for, and only a short walk from Adelaide Oval if that's the focus of your visit. Immediate surroundings have noisy nightlife on the weekends, though there are free earplugs available from reception. You'll probably need them.

I'm not one for leaving ratings but the disparity of 5 stars and actual is alarming. It is undergoing lift changes, but the room itself, poorly put together, stains in vanity, paint chips everywhere, aircon was a window rattler that sucked in cooking smells from kitchens below, and I just froze because it kept reverting to 10 degrees. No robe ok, safe was inoperable with a flat battery. Bed was clean, shower was clean. To be quite honest, worst value for money room in my travel life ever. Hindley Street rocks all night and you hear it. Clean up of street sweeper and blowers start around 4:30 + and you hear that full on too. I think it is undergoing a name change, so be aware.

If you want to save money this place is ok, but make sure you bring ear plugs as it's very noisy. It's clean and comfortable and located close to everything. The Cosmo on Bank lives up to its reputation, the location is second to none. We stayed for a cricket trip and I would recommend this place to any group who wants a cheap place to rest their head for 3 hours a day. The room we had was actually clean compared to some Google reviews. Our room had no toilet paper but with one simple request to the helpful man at the front desk there was 2 rolls waiting for us when we got back from a night out

There was fruit flies everywhere inside. The good things were the air con and the bed wasnt bad. But we couldnt get extra bedding due to a shortage and we could here a lot of arguing in other rooms.
