Great hotel in a great location. Our room was good sized. Sheets were particularly comfortable. The cupboard was quite small and “ugly”, IKEA style. No safe. Very friendly staff. Thank you!!

Grand hotel atmosphere
We keep coming back to this wonderfull and picturesque hotell. It has the atmosphare of an old time grand hotel. Breakfast is top notch, everything tastes yummu.

Lovely hotel but standard rooms rather small. We had to move rooms as there was no walk-in shower (as described on the website) and despite having booked a superior room, we were given a standard room and no refund or acknowledgment of the £100 price difference… On the plus side, Uppsala is absolutely lovely! Some staff were absolutely wonderful, others quite ignorant and unwilling to help, for example trying to get vegan butter/margarine for breakfast was straightforward on some days, on others impossible.

On arrival the room hadn't be heated. Only Swedish stations on TV. Very small bathroom. The room was small in general. No smoking allowed on outside terrasse - ridicules! Extremely poor breakfast. Omelette was absurde. Bacon as well. No fresh brewed coffee. A very friendly and helpful staff (Philip & Walter) doesn't make a 4 star hotel. The lady-owner of the hotel seems to be an unexperienced idiot who never frequented other hotels that are known as "best hotel in town".

Feedback förbättringar
Hela badrumsgolvet blev dyngsurt efter dusch pga dålig avgränsning mellan dusch o badrum i övrigt. Frukosthanteringen alldeles för dålig gällande att ställa fram nytt löpande. Bacon ex kom inte fram alls på de 40 minuter vi åt frukost trots löfte om att det är på g. Avplockning av disk från borden fungerade inte heller speciellt bra.

Trivdes i allmännhet mycket bra i det fina rummet med ett riktigt fint läge längs ån. Trevlig personal och fin frukostbuffé. Jag hade dock önskat en lite mer nogrann städning , såg fläckar på undersidan av ett bord i rummet (under en glasskiva så man behövde inte leta direkt)

Ok men frukosten drar ner betyget
Ok vistelse i Uppsala. Frukosten kunde varit bättre, inte mycket veganska alternativ. Jag frågade om de kunde fixa lite gröt och blev då hänvisad till att ta havregryn och blanda med varmt vatten, det var inte gott.
