I had an amazing stay. The service level was very high throughout. Excellent rooms with everything you need, clean and well designed. I went on two trips, but otherwise stayed at the hotel. Was worried before my trip if I’d get bored, but there was plenty to do, the food selection was plenty (6 restaurants) and the view, beach and garden were absolutely stunning. Only minor hiccup was the WiFi connection outside the lobby area wasn’t the best. I bought an eSIM and that solved it. Amazing hike in mount Le Morne 20 min walk away.

The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated. The room was spacious with an ocean view. The plants around the property were very well-maintained. The food was good with a nice variety. On the downside, it was clear that there was a lack of good management. During meals, the signs with the names of the dishes were often mixed up or missing.

Disappointing service
Nice hotel, lovely heated pool, good bartenders and some staff is great. However this does not include the front desk. We contunously got wrong answers to our questions and left the service desk more confused or with down right wrong info. This led to a lot of frustration. When asking for help with simple service actions such as booking airport transfer or send some bananas to our room as we would miss breakfast due to an excursion, they were not at all interested in helping and we were asked to sort it out ourselves. Additionally no one were at the front desk when we tried to check out despite agreeing on a time the previous evening. After waiting we had to leave for the airport.

Expérience désastreuse - hôtel malhonnête
Nous souhaitons témoigner de notre expérience désastreuse dans cet établissement: Nous sommes arrivés le 19 février, chambre 5039. Lorsque nous nous sommes glissés dans le lit, nous avons découvert une énorme tache, encore humide, cela était de l’urine fraîche (ça sentait très fort) Nous avons découvert des traces bizarres sur le mur et canapé… À cette découverte nous avons contacté la réception. Une équipe de ménage (ils étaient 3) est venue constaté. Ils ont appelé leur direction pour faire constater mais personne n’est venu. Nous sommes nous même allés à la réception avec les photos, Daniel un des manager est venu à notre rencontre. Il a parfaitement compris la situation, et en compagnie de l’assistante manager (une dame) on nous a certifié qu on allait être remboursé intégralement. N’ayant pas dormi dans l’hôtel et ne voulant plus. Le manager a pris nos coordonnées en disant que dès le lendemain un mail serait envoyé. J’ai fais la réservation avec hotels.com, aucun mail m’a été envoyé. Et j’apprends ce jour que l’hôtel refuse la demande de remboursement. En conclusion, l’hôtel ne tient pas parole, et tolère ce genre de situation. C’est une honte, et le comportement malhonnête de l’hôtel laisse à désirer. Qu’un membre de la direction nous contacte et nous explique pourquoi ils décident d’agir ainsi.

Nicht leicht, eine passende Bewertung abzugeben. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gut gelungen. Die öffentlichen Bereiche sind sehr ansprechend und der Zustand ist sehr gut. Als positiv hervorzuheben ist der Bereich um die Le Morne / Capu Bar. Ebenfalls ist der Service in den Restaurants als sehr freundlich und schnell zu bezeichnen. Die Reinigung des Zimmer wurde offenbar von unterschiedlichen Personen durchgeführt. Während eine Mitarbeiterin eine sehr gute Reinigung durchgeführt hat, war es an den Tagen, wo ein Mitarbeiter gereinigt hat, nur durchschnittlich sauber und aufgeräumt. Das AI Paket empfanden wir als ansprechend. Auch wenn sich Speisen im Buffet Restaurant wiederhofen, waren sie doch für ein Buffet Restaurant ansprechend, vielfältig und schmackhaft. Das inkludierte Getränkeangebot passt. Der Check-in nicht befriedigend. Es war relativ viel los und mehrere Gäste warteten auf ihre Zimmer. Der Rezeptionist unterbrach den Check-in Vorgang mehrmals, um sich "zwischendurch" um andere Gäste am Tresen zu bedienen, wodurch eine Diskretion bei der Anmeldung nicht wirklich gegeben war. Am Ende wurden einige Formalitäten vergessen wie z.B. das Aushändigen des AI Bands. Eine Frage beim Kundenschlalter zu Helikoperflug / Wasserflugzeug wurde mit einem Verweis auf google beantwortet. Eine Frechheit. Mit viel Mühe bekamen wir am letzten Abend einen Tisch im Krystal. Das Essen war top. Der Reserierungsvorgang eine Katastrophe. Eigentlich alles gut, aber das Hotel hat keine Seele.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’hôtel Riu Palace. Une note spéciale pour l’amabilité et la gentillesse de tout le personnel qui fait de son mieux pour satisfaire les clients. Le buffet et les restaurants à thème sont excellents, les créneaux de réservation étant cependant un peu restreints. Petit bémol pour la plage qui par son côté venteux ne se prête pas toujours très bien à la baignade et au snorkeling, et nécessite des chaussures pour entrer dans l’eau. C’est par contre un paradis pour le kite. Avantage: on ne souffre pas de la chaleur sur la plage.
