Staff were very welcoming and polite! However, it did seem like there may have been smoking (?) occurring indoors, as it smelled very strongly of it when particular staff members were present.
Overall was a lovely stay, but cleanliness can be very easily improve dramatically!

You get what you pay for. Safe. Excellent location, right downtown. Parked the car 1 block from the hotel in an indoor parking ( At the library) for $16 a day. Will be back.

It should be STRONGLY pointed out that this is a Victorian Hotel, not a modern hotel. It has shared toilets and showers and EVERYTHING from the narrow winding staircase up to the 3rd floor to the heating system, is 150 years old.
Now, I loved this but lots of people would find it horribly barbaric.
